Maura Daly Phinney has worked in public television for over 20 years at four different PBS stations around the country. She began her career at KQED in San Francisco and then went to WETA in Washington, DC.
During her seven year tenure at KTEH in San Jose, she produced the national series, "Real Science!" which won three Emmy awards. She returned to WETA for a second stint from 2000-2003 to produce the first "Reading Rockets' series.
She is now a Senior Producer at KPBS in San Diego and has worked on a variety of projects over the past four years including the national programs, "Panda Tales" and "Unstuck with Dr. James S. Gordon".
